Wildfires worsen in Colorado, 32,000 flee homes
COLORADO SPRINGS (Reuters) - A wildfire raging near some of Colorado's most popular tourist sites grew suddenly more ferocious on Tuesday, forcing 32,000 people from their homes, prompting evacuations from the U.S. Air Force Academy and swallowing numerous houses at the edge of Colorado Springs.
From the vantage point of a command post about 10 miles from the path of advancing flames, the entire community of Mountain Shadows, a northwest subdivision, appeared to be enveloped in an orange glow after dark.
"This is a fire of epic proportions," Colorado Springs Fire Chief Rich Brown said as ash drifted down on the city, sirens wailed and the thick smell of smoke permeated the air.
Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper flew into the city Tuesday night by helicopter to meet with fire commanders and tour the fire zone first-hand. He noted that the blaze was one of at least a dozen burning throughout the state. Four people have died in Colorado wildfires so far this year.
"This is the worst fire season in the history of Colorado," he said during an impromptu news conference, adding that from the air he saw many homes destroyed in a glowing landscape that looked "surreal."
The Waldo Canyon Fire, which has roared through at least 6,200 acres of dry timber since Saturday, has grabbed attention for days because of its proximity to landmarks like the famed mountaintop of Pikes Peak and the Air Force Academy.
The blaze claimed its first property losses on Tuesday as wind-driven flames swept over containment lines into Colorado's second-most populous city, consuming an unknown number of homes on the town's outskirts as authorities hurried to evacuate residents.
El Paso County Sheriff Terry Maketa said 32,000 people had been evacuated, and an Air Force Academy spokesman said the evacuation zone included two communities of single-family homes on academy grounds housing civilian and military personnel and their families.
"We are in a very critical situation now. Unfortunately we do have structures and homes that are burning in the northwest corner of Colorado Springs. We have mandatory evacuation over a considerable area," fire information officer Rob Deyerberg told Reuters.
A mushroom cloud of gray, black and brown smoke, topped by billowing, white cumulus clouds, rose nearly 20,000 feet into the sky and hung over the area as residents scrambled to heed evacuation orders.
The sudden closure of service stations along with other businesses, leaving fleeing motorists unable to fill up their cars, added to a sense of urgency as roads filled with traffic.
Columns of vehicles carrying evacuees and hastily packed belongings stretched bumper-to-bumper for miles, crawling slowly southward out of town along Interstate 25.
Closer to the blaze, which has been fanned by winds blowing into the southern Rockies from the prairies to the east, trees were visibly twisting from the heat of the flames.
"It's a very hostile environment out there," fire information officer Anne Rys-Sikora said.
Asked how quickly the fire was spreading after the latest flare-up on Tuesday afternoon, incident commander Rich Harvey said, "If I gave acreage right now, it would be wrong in five minutes. It's growing."
Hickenlooper said he was consulting with Pentagon officials. The Air Force Academy issued a statement saying the military was preparing to dispatch up to 25 more helicopters to join the firefighting effort.
Authorities earlier said that half of the fleet of eight Air Force C-130 cargo planes equipped as air tankers were already at work, dropping flame-retardant chemicals over the blaze.
DEATH IN UTAH
Still, the Waldo Canyon Fire, burning primarily within the Pike National Forest on the western fringe of Colorado City, was dwarfed in size by wildfires elsewhere across the state, and by a fatal blaze that flared with renewed intensity in Utah.
Authorities said on Tuesday a body was found in the ashes the fast-moving Wood Hollow Fire about 100 miles south of Salt Lake City, marking the first fatality in a blaze that has scorched over 39,000 acres of rolling hills covered by parched cheat grass and sagebrush.
Flames fanned by high winds into a second county forced the closure of Utah's state Route 89 for a second time and prompted the evacuation of the entire town Fairview, a community of more than 1,200 residents according to the latest census, state emergency managers said.
The blaze already has leveled an estimated 30 homes and killed 75 sheep, authorities said.
The Wood Hollow Fire is believed to be one of just two western wildfires that have claimed lives in recent weeks.
The other is the High Park Fire near Fort Collins, Colorado, south of Denver, which now ranks as that state's second-largest blaze on record and its most destructive ever, having consumed 87,250 acres in steep mountain canyons since it was sparked by lightning two weeks ago.
The High Park has destroyed 248 homes and killed a 62-year-old grandmother, whose body was found in the ashes of her cabin, while leaving an estimated 4,300 residents displaced by evacuations.
Colorado accounts for several of the 29 large active wildfires being fought across the country on Tuesday. The bulk of them were in seven western states -- Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, New Mexico, Arizona and California, the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, Idaho, reported.
Although federal authorities say the fire season got off to an early start in parts of the northern Rockies, the number of fires and acreage burned nationwide is still below the 10-year average for this time of year, according to fire agency records.

5 Ways You Can Help Fund Your Child's School Without Spending ...

Schools across the country are severely underfunded. To add insult to injury, year after year budgets are being slashed even further and some school districts are even considering shortening the school year to compensate for financial woes. What if I told you that there was a way that you could help provide extra money to your child?s school without spending any extra money in the process? Would you be interested?
This process would not include hustling candles, frozen pizzas, magazine subscriptions or cookie dough to your coworkers. This process would not include walking your child from door to door while trying to escape stranger danger at every turn. This process would not have family and friends running in the opposite direction when they see you or ducking your phone calls.
What I?m talking about is the Box Tops For Education program (BTFE). Families across the country have been clipping box tops from products that they already buy and have in their cupboards and pantries. They turn the box tops into the schools and the schools turn them in for cold, hard cash. Up to 20 
thousand dollars per school, per year. Last year the total amount paid out to schools by Box Tops For Education was in the neighborhood of 74 million dollars. I repeat 74 million dollars.
The sad part of this is that the program isn?t being used to it?s fullest potential in black communities and our schools often need this money the most. To make matters worse the schools in black communities who do participate normally do well so why don?t we take advantage of this program like we should?
For this very reason Ronnie and I have partnered with General Mills? Box Tops for Education program in an effort to spread the word in the black community. We are dedicated to ensuring that our children get their cut of that 74 million dollar pie.
Recently I attended the National Box Tops University in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was blown away by the event. Local coordinators representing schools from across the country came out pumped up and ready to learn how they can earn even more money for their schools. Imagine a huge convention center room flooded with people pumped up about equipping kids with what they need to learn.
During National Box Tops University, I listened to keynote speakers and had conversations with school coordinators from across the country. They graciously shared their tips on what worked best for them. Below is a list of five ways you can begin earning money for your local school in order to help them fill the gap.
1. Clip Box Tops:
Yes it?s that simple. Clip your box tops and find out when your school collects them so you can submit on time. If your school isn?t involved in the Box Tops For Education program you can register them on the BTFE website and become the school?s coordinator yourself. If you look in your home you?d be surprised how many box tops are waiting for you to clip them. 2. Run a Contest at Your School:
Once BTFE is up and running at your school, having a contest is a good way to generate buzz about the program. Some schools award individual students, some choose classrooms or some even choose entire grades. I heard from several successful coordinators who ran contests and they really offered a wide array of prizes. The prizes ranged from pizza parties for the winning classroom to dunking the principle in a dunking booth. The bottom line is don?t be afraid to get creative and don?t be afraid to just ask the students what they?d like.
3. Start a Competition: School vs. School:
You can also take the competition outside of your school. To get school spirit going and box tops coming in, try a friendly competition with another local school. The final goal is to see who can collect the most box tops but you?ll have plenty of fun in the process.
4. Go Shopping Online:
Did you know you can earn box tops digitally? If you shop at stores like Macys, Apple, Target or Kmart you can earn box tops for each purchase. Imagine if all of the parents at your school bought their items through the BTFE marketplace. How many additional eBoxTops would you earn? The best part is you don?t even have to count them and send them in. They?ll be deposited to your schools account automatically.
5. Spread the Word:
One of the easiest ways to earn extra money for your school is one of the oldest. Just spread the word. Let others in your community know that you?re collecting the box tops. One coordinator shared how after a feature in a local newspaper a woman dropped off a huge amount of box tops to the school. She had been collecting them but didn?t have a school to hand them over to until she saw the article. I spoke with another woman who said her grandmother saves all of her box tops in a coffee can and ships them to her twice a year to help the grand-babies. Just remember there are box tops in the homes of your family and friends just like they?re in your home so don?t forget to ask.

We realize that a motherboard?s appearance is usually only of importance to the most die-hard enthusiasts?you know, the kinds of people who have cases with side-panel windows and work fastidiously to ensure there?s no dust inside?but the ECS Z77H2-AX, designed for Intel?s LGA1155 socket, would be a head-turner for anyone. Adorning the jet-black PCB are shimmering gold-colored accents that make the board?s crucial parts?the socket cover, heat sinks, the resistors, rear-panel ports, and even their associated I/O plate?into 24-karat eye candy. Is that alone enough to justify the Z77H2-AX?s platinum-plated price of $309.99? For most people, probably not. But if you consider aesthetics a make-or-break feature, you won?t find a better motherboard than this.
It?s worth pointing out that, according to ECS, the benefits of all the gold aren?t just visual. The gold plating on the CPU pins, memory sockets, and PCI Express (PCIe) slots reportedly increase stability up to three times, and on the cooling modules speed thermal dissipation; ECS also touts their ?anti-oxidation, anti-rust, and anti-moisture? benefits. Those qualities are difficult for us to test, but there?s no doubt that they up the Z77H2-AX?s luxury factor by an order of magnitude or two.
Because of its socket, the ATX-form-factor Z77H2-AX will work for you whether you want to load it with a processor from the current third-generation Core (aka ?Ivy Bridge?) family or from last year?s Sandy Bridge line. If you want, two video outputs (VGA and HDMI) let you take advantage of the CPU?s integrated graphics system, with LucidLogix?s Virtu Universal MVP GPU Virtualization providing dynamic switching between integrated and discrete graphics. If you don?t want, there are three PCIe x16 slots version 3.0 slots for installing up to three discrete video cards using either AMD?s or Nvidia?s GPUs (though, if you use three cards, the third slot will run at x8 rather than x16, due to limitations with the PCIe bus). The Intel Z77 Express chipset the motherboard uses allows you to overclock the CPU and specify a solid-state drive (SSD) for use in data caching by way of Intel?s Smart Response Technology. All this suggests a motherboard stuffed to the gills with gaming-friendly features, and a look at the rest of the Z77H2-AX certainly bears this out. Four memory slots support up to 32GB of dual-channel DDR3 1600 RAM (or DDR3 2800 when overclocked). The Intel drive controller lets you connect two 3Gbps SATA II devices and two 6Gbps SATA III devices (with RAID Levels 0, 1, 5, and 10 all options); a secondary ASMedia ASM1061 controller provides two additional SATA III ports. The expansion slot roster is rounded out with two PCIe x1 slots, two regular PCI slots, and even a Mini PCIe x1 slot for connecting an additional device (such as an mSATA card for use with SRT, a feature we previously saw last generation in the Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3-iSSD).
In addition to the aforementioned VGA and HDMI outputs, on the rear panel you?ll find eight USB ports (four each of USB 3.0 and USB 2.0), two 6Gbps eSATA ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port (RealTek RTL 8111E), an S/PDIF jack, five ports for utilizing the integrated eight-channel audio system (RealTek ALC892), a button to clear the CMOS, and the built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi receivers. Want even more ports on your system? You can add four more USB ports (two each USB 3.0 and USB 2.0) through the use of the onboard headers; ECS has even prepared you for their use by including a USB 3.0 panel designed to fit in one of your case?s external 3.5-inch drive bays.
The Z77H2-AX boasts a number of additional technologies as well. On the proprietary side, ECS Super Alloy Choke promises a 50-percent increase in system stability by increasing energy efficiency, better maintaining operating temperatures, and reducing electromagnetic interference (EMI). EZ Charger provides three times more current through the motherboard?s USB ports than is usually the case, so you can charge your devices more quickly. ECS?s fully graphical UEFI offers an excellent (and mouse-compatible) way to tweak your system settings.
Performance of the Z77H2-AX (when using a Core i7-3770K processor) on our suite of benchmark tests was generally in line with what we?ve seen from other first-wave Ivy Bridge motherboards, if more often than not on the lower end of the spectrum. The one area in which the Z77H2-AX stood out, however, was power usage. We measured the draw of our full test-bed system, which also used an Nvidia GeForce GTX 680 video card, with an Extech Datalogger both at idle and with all the CPU cores pegged. In both cases the Z77H2-AX used the most electricity: 85 watts for the former, and 158.5 watts for the latter. By way of comparison, the lowest-power Ivy Bridge motherboard we?ve tested so far, the Intel Desktop Board DZ77GA-70K drew only 71.2 watts when idle and 136.3 watts under full load.
For most users, a motherboard?s power draw isn?t going to be a deal-breaker?but the ECS EZ77H2-AX is already among the most expensive Ivy Bridge?ready models you can buy. If you?re primarily concerned about in-box extras, you?ll get more of them overall with the Editors? Choice Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe?which also costs less ($284.99 list) and uses less power. Even if the EZ77H2-AX isn?t the all-around champ, it?s a fine LGA1155 motherboard with dazzling beauty that no others on the market can currently match.

Swedish House Mafia Announce Farewell Tour

Electronic dance music stars from around the world joined fans this weekend in paying homage to Swedish House Mafia, after the Holy Trinity of House announced via their website that their upcoming tour will be their last.
"Today we want to share with you that the tour we are about to go on will be our last. We want to thank every single one of you that came with us on this journey. We came, we raved, we loved," the message reads.
Together the Swedes — Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso joined their prolific individual talents into one of dance music's most commercially successful and intriguing brands, leading the charge of EDM's American takeover. With five widely successful singles in two years, SHM dominated traditional music festivals like Coachella, sold out Madison Square Garden and hosted their own Masquerade Motel mini-festivals attended by tens of thousands in Miami.
SHM's announcement was hard to believe considering their biggest career undertaking is still before them: a July show at Milton Keynes Bowl in England, which holds 65,000 people.
"I just heard @swedishousemfia are gonna split. I hope it's not true They are really special," David Guetta tweeted on Saturday.
DJ Chuckie tweeted, "Sad news for electronic music, i just heard that the @swedishousemfia just announced they gonna break up!"
Some DJ/producers used the occasion to celebrate how far Swedish House Mafia has come, even thanking them for their tutelage and inspiration.
"Well ... @swedishousemfia will be a legend for ever!" Zedd wrote.
"Just wanted to tip my hat (the A-Trak hat) to @swedishousemfia. They invited me to MSG which was huge. Those are my bros. *#bros," A-Trak tweeted, referencing his opening duties at MSG last December.
Hardwell tweeted, "We gonna miss you @swedishousemfia! You've been a huge inspiration for me, every producer and the whole music scene! #wecameweravedweloved."
But the fun is far from over. There is much to look forward to from Swedish House Mafia, including their Sydney, Australia-inspired new single, possibly titled "Don't You Worry Child" per an SHM tweet and our good friends at Dancing Astronaut. Upcoming tour dates include the aforementioned Milton Keynes Bowl in England (July 14), recurring weekly dates at Ushuaia in Ibiza (July 4 through August 29) and a final leg of their tour (presumably including farewell dates in the U.S.) to be announced in August.

Former world record holder shares Cadbury's London 2012 pop-up venue details

June 23 - Steve Backley, the former British javelin star who won three Olympic medals in a glittering career, has unveiled the plans for Cadbury House in Hyde Park during the London 2012 Olympics.
The pop-up venue from Cadbury, the Official Treat Provider of London 2012, will be set up in Hyde Park as part of BT London Live, where the capital's premier open-air screening of the Olympic and Paralympic Games will take place.
Open from the Olympic Opening Ceremony on July 27 to the Closing Ceremony on August 12, Cadbury House will provide a free interactive experience for the public.
Backley (pictured above) highlighted a visit to Cadbury House as one of alternative ways to experience the Games in the host city.
"Having worked with Cadbury during its journey to London 2012 I am delighted to be working with them again to highlight how they are bringing people together to celebrate and feel a part of the spirit of the Olympic Games this summer," said the 43-year-old former world record holder, who won Olympic silver medals at Atlanta in 1996 and Sydney 2000 and bronze at Barcelona 1992.
"There are many different magical experiences that form part of Cadbury House but the one I am most excited about is the Great Games Zone, where people will get the chance to try their hand at a number of sports with a Cadbury twist."
Cadbury House visitors will enter through a giant walkway which passes into the "Joyville" tasting zone where Dairy Milk chocolate can be eaten.
It will also feature a "Chocolatrium" where visitors can sample other Cadbury products including Twirl, Creme Egg, Wispa, Freddo and Dairy Milk.
In addition, there will also be a Great Games Zone where visitors can feel what it is like to be an Olympic athlete by taking part in a virtual head-to-head race with British swimming star Rebecca Adlington before receiving a celebratory chocolate medal.
"Cadbury House is opening up the doors of Cadbury's magical imagination to the world, sharing everything that embodies both the spirit of the Games and the magic of Cadbury with as many people as possible," said Clare Tasker,?Cadbury's head of consumer marketing for London 2012.
"Cadbury House is a big part of the culmination of two years of Cadbury's sponsorship of London 2012.
"We've been making consumers feel part of the 2012 Games in a fun and exciting way by playing games with Cadbury Spots v Stripes, keeping the athletes motivated with Keep Singing, Keep Team GB Pumped, having fun with our Creme Egg Goo Games and giving people the chance to actually experience the Games live with hundreds of ticket giveaways."
Cadbury have also revealed they will be enlisting the help of a celebrity curator, to be revealed in the coming weeks, who will help the public enjoy the London 2012 experience further.

Gary Hart: Legalizing Watergate
Who would have thought, forty years after the greatest political scandal and presidential abuse of power in U.S. history, that the Supreme Court of the United States would rule that the practices that fueled and financed that scandal were now legal?
Yet that is essentially the affect of the Citizens United decision. Go ahead and take bets on how much time will pass before the tsunami of cash unleashed by Citizens United ends up in the pockets of a Watergate-like cast of break-in burglars, wiretap experts, surveillance magicians, and cyberpunks. Given the power and money at stake in the nation's presidential and congressional elections, it is inevitable that candidates or their operatives will tap into the hundreds of millions of dollars flowing through their campaigns and try to game the system -- in perfectly legal or highly illegal ways.
And, of course, the ultimate victims of the corruption of the democratic process are not defeated candidates and parties but America's citizens. Perhaps Supreme Court justices should have to experience a corrupted election process firsthand to understand what it means to live with a hollowed-out democracy. As one who experienced Watergate in its multi-tentacled form, it isn't pleasant to discover that you've been placed under surveillance, had your taxes audited, and been subjected to other dirty tricks. All this happened to me, among a number of others, simply because we worked for an honest presidential candidate who dared to challenge the authority and power of a president who had long-since forgotten the integrity the democratic process requires.
Coupled with the concentration of lobbying power now consolidating in the offices of a small hand-full of mega-firms (see the blog: "Convergence in the Garden of Government Influence"), the advent of legalized corruption launched by the Supreme Court through Citizens United empowers the super-rich to fund their own presidential and congressional campaigns as pet projects and to foster pet policies. The calculus here is simple: Because you have several hundred million dollars, or even a billion, you can lease or purchase a candidate from an endless reserve of minor politicians and then make him or her a star. In short order, all of that money and marketing power makes your candidate a mouthpiece for any cause or purpose you and your money handlers value, no matter how questionable. Your candidate-for-hire also will mouth your script in endless political debates and through as many television spots as you are willing to pay for -- all of which Citizens United makes quite legal now.
The five prevailing Supreme Court justices might at least have required the bought-and-paid-for candidates to wear sponsor labels on their suits like stock car drivers. For the time being, though, Exxon-Mobil or the Stardust Casino can't openly sponsor candidates, and instead rely on phony "Committee for Good Government" smokescreen entities.
So, America: Welcome to the Age of Vanity Politics and Campaigns-For-Hire. If this Court had been sitting in 1974, when the Watergate scandal was in full blossom, it would not have voted 9-0 to require the president to turn over legally incriminating tapes but instead would have voted to support the use of illegal campaign contributions to finance criminal cover-ups as an exercise in "free speech."
For many decades our citizens has had to survive free-wheeling antics by politicians and parties. Now American have to survive their own Supreme Court.

In the movie?s climactic courtroom showdown, Jack Nicholson?s Colonel Jessup tells Tom Cruise?s Lieutenant Kaffee that he did, in fact, ?order the Code Red,? which is to say he told an inferior officer to tell two Marines to beat up a third, underperforming Marine. (In the course of that beating, the underperforming Marine dies.) Such tactics are necessary, he says, to protect the nation, even in ?peace time.? ?All you did is weaken a country today,? Jessup tells Kaffee, after the latter rather implausibly and very dramatically pries a confession out of him. ?That?s all you did.? Jessup is defending the torture of one of his own men, rather than the torture of the enemy, but the contours of the debate are familiar. And in the real-world debate, of course, the one that started about a decade after A Few Good Men came out (and continues today), Colonel Jessup is winning.

The name in educational slates has just revealed a pair of refreshed gizmos, the LeapPad 2 and Leapster GS. Boasting higher resolution front and rear cameras / video recorders, twice the memory (4GB) compared to the original and an even more durable frame, the LeapPad 2 also touts a zippier LF 2000 processor, improved battery life and compatibility with an optional internal battery system and recharger pack. Buyers of the $99.99 device will also see a gratis music player (with five learning songs, no less), a Cartoon Director creativity app, an Art Studio creativity app and the Pet Pad writing app. The Leapster GS ($69.99) is a revised Leapster Explorer, offering a thinner design, larger screen, built-in motion sensor, 2GB of memory and a camera / video recorder. Sold already? Folks in the US, UK, Canada and Ireland can grab theirs on July 18th, while most other nations will have to wait until August. Summer learning never felt so right... right?

At least two heads turned when I received my Samsung Galaxy S III recently. How could they not when I loudly exclaimed?? alright, practically squealed?? that "it's here, it's here." Those same two heads shook, an hour later, as their owners watched me hurl?obscenities?at the gadget.
"You were supposed to be perfect! Why aren't you perfect, you stupid ..."
Don't get me wrong,?I had high expectations for the Galaxy S III???and the smartphone met most of them. But what it failed to do is provide the perfection I craved, a reason to abandon my trusted iPhone 4S and finally switch to Android. It's just too rough around the edges (metaphorically speaking, of course, as its actual edges are flawlessly curved).
The Galaxy S III is easy on the eyes with its big, bright screen, smooth corners, and almost frighteningly slender body. It's powerful and speedy (for some benchmarks, check out Laptop Mag). It has a camera decent enough to make a basic point-and-shoot?unnecessary. It's battery will get you through a day.?And boy-oh-boy, many of Samsung's tweaks make Android look oh-so-appealing.
That's the big picture, of course. The?details ? the devil's always in those, isn't he? ? are where the Samsung Galaxy S III struggles to amaze.?
When the folks of Samsung first showed off?the device, they pushed its "natural interaction" front and center. This was supposed to be a phone that can listen, watch and respond in ways never experience before. Unfortunately the features which should make all that happen are unpolished.
The Galaxy S III is supposed to?recognize?whether you are looking at it or not,?and appropriately maintain comfortable?screen brightness levels. Either my eyes somehow elude all detection or the phone was trying to tell me to take a break from staring at it?? because it refused to keep the screen from dimming at times.
S Voice is a feature which is basically a counterpart to Apple's Siri. It is a personal assistant of sorts and supposed to recognize natural language. Unfortunately it's often unresponsive and prone to mangling commands, even if they are the simple ones provided as examples. (And don't even think about asking a Galaxy S III whether you'll need an umbrella in Tampa,?Florida on Friday. Such a complex?question, which is quickly answered by Siri, baffles the Samsung device.)
The Galaxy S III cleverly starts dialing a contact if you open his or her details then lift the phone to your ear. I quickly became enamored with this small but incredibly useful feature. Unfortunately it sometimes takes the device a moment or two to recognize that it's being held against my ear?? and I could definitely have manually placed the call by that point.
Are you noticing the pattern? The Galaxy S III is a solid phone. It has all the basics covered well, but it disappoints when it comes to the features that should have pushed it over the top. It's a sleek?rocket ship adorned with rusty bells and whistles.
So what's the verdict? Well, if you're an iPhone-obsessed individual like yours truly, stick with your beloved iOS device?? because the Galaxy S III won't impress you as much as you'd want it to. But if you're already an Android smartphone user and looking for an upgrade? Jog, don't walk, to the nearest store. Just because I don't think the Galaxy S III tears away the label of "best smartphone on the market right now" away from the iPhone 4S doesn't mean that it's not the best Android device at the moment.

LOS ANGELES (AP) ? After failing to stop the debut of ABC's "The Glass House," CBS is trying another tactic against its competitor: sarcasm.
CBS argued in court last week that the ABC show is a copy of CBS' "Big Brother." But a judge refused to bar "Glass House" from airing, saying he wasn't persuaded that CBS would be harmed by it.
So CBS issued a tongue-in-cheek news release Wednesday claiming it's developing a reality series called "Dancing on the Stars" ? a jab at ABC's "Dancing With the Stars."
CBS says the mock series will air from the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles and feature "moderately famous and sort of well-known people" who will compete by dancing on stars' graves.
A spokesman confirmed the release came from CBS but wouldn't elaborate. ABC declined comment.

Fight My Monster Borrows From The Angry Birds Playbook ? Merchandise And Movies Up Next?
In a move that borrows from the Angry Birds playbook, quite literally, Fight My Monster - the so-called ?Moshi for boys? - has appointed licensing heavy-weights Russell Binder and Dimensional Branding Group to represent the brand globally and, presumably, to begin exploring merchandising options.
